It actually felt really good to hear that, even if it felt like it was counter to things Simon had said, and it showed in Peter's face. Maybe he didn't understand the 'all or nothing' part properly. It would have to be something they really talked about - when it was 'on' or not. He already could tell, in himself, he couldn't do it all the time. If Simon couldn't live with that... it wouldn't work. Simon said he didn't want to be broken or done wrong by, right? So there had to be some middle ground they could find.

"But aren't you being told what to do?" Peter asked, challenging the idea a little, because he remembered well that first sign when it came to Mindy in the store. How quickly she had reacted when she was just having fun... even if it was at his expense. "How are you in control when at some point she could tell you to do something you're not comfortable with? What if that happens? Do you just... have to do it and talk about it later, or not do it and risk being punished for not?"
