It wasn't fair for everyone else to decide what Peter deserved or not. He knew what he wanted, but didn't have the courage to go for. Simon definitely seemed to have any type but him, and why not? Peter closed the laptop and went back to work, squinting up against the sun. Doing all this work in the brutal heat was rough and even through sunscreen the pale Peter was starting to get a burn.

That's because you don't see him as much anymore, Judas thought when Mary mentioned about how JC was acting, not unkindly but truthfully. He'd seen JC act like this plenty of times. Throw a hissy fit, go to sulk for a while, come back when he was ready or more so when Judas apologized. He gave Mary a small smile, the kind that said he'd handle it, before he went to JC's door and knocked. Hopefully JC wasn't still in the angry phase and would yell where his mother could hear it.
