"To love is to trust," Jesus continues, fingers finding the edge of the reactor without a single thought to pull it out. He's not cruel and though he might be considered innocent of it should he try -- curiosity is a terrible thing -- he knows well enough that it gauges his heart.

And he would not endanger that.

"I would have you trust me, if you are able."
