The Last Temptation
It ought to be said that Jesus Christ is his own worst enemy. Nothing can be closer to the truth when he tells the Twelve and the others close to him that he will not return to their camp that evening. "I have made a promise to help a man on the brink of his own destruction find a better way."
"And you're gonna do it just one night?" Judas, as always, is skeptical and bats at Simon to put his iPad away. Not everything has to be recorded.
"I should like to try. Don't move camp further into the city until I return tomorrow morning," Jesus says and with Peter left to mind the flock, heads off to Stark's home. He is singularly unimpressed by what he sees...or rather, he simply doesn't notice the luxury. His mind is more pure. With a single satchel over his shoulder with samples of shampoo and a change of underwear and socks, Jesus waits to be told he can go to Tony. Some people in the lobby recognize him from Youtube, from Matthew's blog. Others find him to be a little ratty and a little out of place here.

Hands return to Tony's hair and his head tilts back to the edge of the tub. His knees quake a little. Whatever prayer this is, let it continue.
The front of his underwear proves his enjoyment.

Is still crucial.
It doesn't dawn on him that this no-nonsense talk of love, of protection, is just part of who Tony is. Jesus has been hearing it from his students and his disciples from the start.
None has ever touched him this way, however.
Or made him whine so brilliantly.
Innocence does not overpower nature and Jesus lifts his hips against the other man for friction.

He's going to make him stay. After this, he won't want to leave.

But the Devil is the farthest from Jesus' mind. The Devil could never cause this sort of pleasure and Jesus turns himself over to it. He's being human, and that's what he is, isn't he? That's what God told him? "Yes," he says, begging for more. He even goes as far as to return the favour, peeling off wet, skin tight underwear from the other man as well.
Baptisms should always be so fun!
That last line made me choke on my dinner laughing.
Tony kisses him a bit more roughly, his tongue swallowing up the sounds the other man is making.
Oh dear! Haha!
He moans soft 'Anthony's into Tony's hair and hardens at the slightest touch of the other man's hand. It takes no more than a dozen pumps for orgasm to strike. Any other man might be embarrassed at this. Jesus is just out of breath and confused and unsure of what just happened. Or why he wants it to happen again.
Skin pruning, he lightly touches Tony's face with wonder. "I understand why you are such a great man now," he whispers. It's the afterglow talking. He feels like he's seen God for the first time since his birth.

Tony smiles at him, shifting a little uncomfortably. He's still incredibly hard, and after some soft kissing and a moment to let Jesus relax into the afterglow, put some semblance of coherency together, he takes one of the other man's hands and guides it to his cock. It's strange, but he wants to know what an afterglow alongside him would be like. For once, that's not the part of proceedings Tony is dreading, because he knows he can trust him.
"Love you," he murmurs softly into Jesus' ear, nuzzling against him. "I take it I was okay, then. Not to be pushy, but, ah, if you could just...." He thrusts a little into his hand to get the point across.

For Jesus, the sin of sex is what occurs at the Temple Nightclub, what occurs between people that don't love each other. Yes, he's predisposed to loving. Tony, however, is not. None of the warning signs come through. Jesus leans in and repeats the process, gently at first and with coaxing, harder and faster until he feels Tony's abdomen tighten.
It's strange how silly people can look in the throes of pleasure and he laughs, not unkindly, just surprised.

"...I don't ever want you to leave," he decides once he's caught his breath. "I just. I just want you here. We could be so happy together. You're so good to me, better than I deserve. I need you."

"I can not stay," he tells Tony. There's barely enough of him to go around and his work is nearly finished now. Fingers curl around one of Tony's ears. "But I will never truly leave you, not if you keep me close."
no subject
He does. And isn't life a bitch, to finally hand Tony someone he can fall in love with and then strike the man down? But Tony's never been one to let life dictate to him what will and won't be. He's always fought it. And he wins.
He can win again, for someone like this.

Jesus leans in to offer him another kiss.
"You don't need me. What you need is to learn from me and be your own man. A good man. You need to go on living and be beautiful and brilliant."

Tony presses an affectionate kiss to his cheek. His voice is soft, loving, reassuring. He doesn't want this to go bad. He wants this to be forever, and he wants to do this all over again, make Jesus gasp and come and hold him and then lay there like this, together, holding each other, Tony unashamed of the arc reactor for the first time in so long, finally at peace.

"Some things are out of your hands," he replies, taking his turn to duck his head against the other's shoulder. He's never been this close to anyone before. It's beautiful in it's simplicity. It will never last.

No amount of love can save Jesus. Or rather, it's love that will save them all. But Tony's passion is giving him second thoughts.
Must he die?
Would he not be better alive?

He pulls him out of the bath, toweling him off rather gently, cleaning them up. He kisses him briefly, warmly, and takes his hand.
"I'm got some pajamas that might fit you. I think you need to relax and give this some more thought."

They've only just met and already Tony is changing him. Isn't that what's suppose to happen? Jesus has changed so many lives himself just by meeting other people-- Can't the reverse be true?
He takes Tony by the hand and be given clothing. He's never worn silk before and... It's strange. Luxurious. Judas would absolutely have his head if he knew ho Jesus would be spending his night!
He stays silent for a long time, even after being coaxed into Tony's arms. His head tucks under the other man's and he stares at his shoulder. It's...calming. Likely because God has had nothing to say about this at all.

With the other man gathered in his arms, Tony feels utter contentment, just holding him, keeping him close. After a while has passed, Tony murmurs quietly in a much more open and vulnerable tone than he usually uses, "I'm glad you decided to come over here. I'm really happy when you're around."

He curls his fingers in the other man's night shirt. It's still early, the sun had just been setting when they went into the bath.
"Do you feel different when I'm with you, Anthony?"
